New Waste Water Treatment Plant
03 Feb 2017
Euro-Locks is committed to protecting the environment throughout our operations and especially within our production processes. This commitment has led to an investment of over €400k in a complete overhaul of our waste water treatment plant on the galvanic plating lines in Bastogne.
The new advanced water treatment plant enables us to exceed current and future planned European legislation in the discharge of waste water. The system enables our waste water to be treated and cleared of any harmful residues before it is discharged; this is done through a series of processes including multiple filtration stages using different separation tanks. The water treatment plant is fully automated and computer controlled. Each stage of the process is constantly monitored and has inbuilt warning systems should there be any problems in the process. The installation will be completed by mid-2017.
Stephan Wilmotte, Managing Director commented “plating lines are critical to our manufacturing processes and we also take our environmental responsibilities seriously. The investment in the new waste water treatment plant shows our ongoing commitment to ensuring our facilities have minimum impact on the environment. This was a considerable capital investment which future proofs our operation”.Back to News
